I’ve had this strange fascination from the time I first saw the Rocky series. Like most people, I did not start with the first part and I although I got the movie, the action scenes and all the training and boxing sequences but I was missing something. I got the movie but not the Point.
So that made me start my quest to watch the series closely and I started with the first part which I think might be a little hard to get but it sets the tone. It was about the underdog surely but that was not what attracted me to it. In fact the boxing part was ok, but the human aspect of going though the highs and lows was what made it stand out for me. Point I am trying to make is that rocky is not about boxing primarily, it’s about life
I finally saw the last part yesterday and this one Quote in it underlines what I have written above.
The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place and it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is
gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t how hard you hit; it’s about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward. How much you can take, and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done. Now, if you know what you’re worth, then go out and get what you’re worth. But you gotta be willing to take the hit, and not pointing fingers saying you ain’t where you are because of him, or her, or anybody. Cowards do that and that ain’t you.

I like your thought of being able to be in a position where you can simply shrug and walk off.. and not to forget not offend or hurt anyone at this
. But I wonder if anyone remembers doing that in their lifetimes ?
What you have drawn out of rocky series is beautiful and the pick about life beating and keeping one down on knees permanently if you let it is great.
Keep writing. It was very gripping reading your thoughts!!
